Some people mostly in the art world look down upon wedding photographers in the hierarchy of photographers. After all, we are not documentary photographers capturing people in impoverished communities around the globe. However, I have to tell you, I find it pretty important to photograph a union and celebration of two people's love to one another. As a single woman, I am hopeful as ever by the prospect of two people finding and committing their love to each other. I would be honored to document your special day and be chosen as your wedding photographer. I am the sole owner of my business and as a result, I take each wedding seriously. I do not overbook myself because I want to devote the time and attention each one deserves. I also realize my limitations and will use a highly skilled second photographer for larger weddings.
I see my work as a mutually beneficial relationship; I provide you with gorgeous photos while I also get to use my passion and creative skills as giving my love/my vision back to you. Prior to your special day, you can expect me to build a relationship with you and your fiance so you feel comfortable sharing all your emotions on that day. Your natural and candid expressions will then come through in the photos. I do this by meeting with you and asking lots of questions so I can familiarize myself as well as understand all the important people in your event. I take the time because I feel it is worth the time. I pride myself on having the interpersonal skills needed to establish a friendly, yet professional relationship with all involved. It is important to be able to interact not just with the bride and groom but with the extended family, the bridal party and all the guests.
Using my maturity and experience, you can expect me to take charge during the formals so that it runs smoothly and efficiently, but then to blend in with the group so as not to disrupt the natural flow of your party. I am always present yet sensitive and conscious of finding this delicate balance!
